Beach Magic

The prompt for Day 18 of OctPoWriMo asks, “How do you relax and process your feelings?”

I’m not sure if this poem is in a “real” form, but this is how it came out today.

Beach Magic

When weary, sick in soul and heart
It’s the beach that brings me back
To self—whole, healed, renewed

It’s the beach that brings me back
Foam designs on sand shape fantasy animals
The roar, thought-drowning, clears my head

To self—whole, healed, renewed
It’s the beach that brings me back
When weary, sick in soul and heart
